For more than three decades, Jack Anderson, a fifth generation Nanaimo resident, has been encouraging a more sustainable approach to homes and communities. His educational background includes architecture, urban planning and ecological community design. Jack draws on two decades of experience with provincial and local government agencies, including the City of Nanaimo’s first Planning Department and later as park planner. His behind-the-counter career also included many years within the Regional District of Nanaimo’s Building Inspection and Planning Departments. Jack brings a vast array of knowledge and experience to his many clients and, with his Greenplan team, have designed more than 600 residential and commercial buildings since his first passive solar home in 1985. His passion is to create green homes and sustainable communities throughout Vancouver Island.
